THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION STORY

Kaitlyn & Xavier reached out to Tessa as soon as they got engaged. They have mutual friends and Kaitlyn immediately knew she wanted Tessa & I to be their photo/video team for their wedding in Greensboro, NC next spring! Even better.. they wanted to fly us out to Asheville (where they live) to shoot their engagement session.

Tessa flew in from NYC, and I drove up from Florida! We met up with Kaitlyn & Xavier at one of their favorite breweries in Downtown Asheville, Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium. From there, we literally just bounced around a bunch of different breweries. Turns out Asheville has THE most photogenic bar scene of any town I know haha! Hi-wire Brewing is where they had their first date AND where they got engaged, so of course we spent some time shooting (and drinking) there! We ended the day at Burial Beer Co. slightly tipsy and with a gorgeous view of the sunset.

I can’t think of a better way to spend a “work” day! Absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next May.
